IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY AT MAJOR SHOWS:
ALL EXHIBITORS ARE WELCOME AT THE PODIUM (win or lose).
RING PHOTOGRAPHY:
We aim to cover as many exhibits as possible during judging but if you have special requests it's important that you advise the nearest ring photographer & we'll do our best. To be guaranteed photos, you must come over to the podium/photography area or make sure you get the nearest ring photographer to take candids. The number/location of photographers at any particular show is based on anticipated demand and/or previous experience.
If you do NOT want your dog photographed, you MUST tell the ring photographer because we don't know who owns which dogs or what issues exhibitors are dealing with.
JUNIOR HANDLERS:
At the Sydney Royal Easter Show and Melbourne Royal, written waivers are required for exhibitors under 18 so if we know or suspect the exhibitor to be under 18 and there is no written waiver returned to the Official Photographers for that exhibitor, any photos of dogs handled by that particular exhibitor will be of the DOG ONLY. Waiver forms will be available at the podium and Ingrid will be checking the benching hall every morning for Junior Handlers.
WINNER PHOTOS:
If you have won a major prize, you will be required to stay for photos for the official records and media. Please confirm that you are happy with your photo before leaving the photography area because it's your dog not ours and you may see things that we don't. You will be asked for your choice/s and the onus is on the exhibitor not the photographer to make a selection. We will endeavour to get the best possible shot for you in the available time.
In the case where there is no designated photography area, the onus is shared between the organisers, steward and exhibitor to ensure winners remain ringside until the photographer can get to them for photos. In the case of several groups finishing simultaneously, the photographer will cover them in order of completion of judging. Often, depending on ring layout, the photographer does not have a clear line of sight to every group and may be unaware that a ring has finished while photographing elsewhere so please minimise the 'judge chat' in order to allow the photographer do move to potential waiting group/s. NB: The photographer cannot be held accountable for exhibitor delays.
DON'T LEAVE IT UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE:
We do not discriminate and provide the same photo opportunities to all exhibitors, it's up to the exhibitors to take advantage of our range of services on the day.
PHOTO AVAILABILITY:
The editing process takes time and for large shows it can take over a week after we get home. If we can make a start on the editing during the event we will but uploading is heavily dependent on available internet. The edited photos will go onto our official websites and then links will be posted to social media. We are not obliged to post photos on social media. Photos can be purchased then downloaded straight from our websites. Due to extreme time constraints during large shows, we do not generally respond to messages, emails or queries about photos until after the entire show is uploaded and/or we have time to deal with them. No responsibility is taken for colour accuracy and quality of photos printed by third parties due to the range of potential variations which may be made to the original full resolution file after it leaves this site.

If there are photos of you or your dog on this website that you would like to have removed, for whatever reason, please let us know asap and we will be happy to remove them.
Photos are supplied as user friendly .jpeg files on a limited non exclusive licence and full copyright is retained by the photographer under Australian Copyright Law. Photos are not to be purchased of other people's dogs without the owner's consent. The limited non exclusive licence means that the photos are for the subject's personal use and/or personal advertising only and are not for independent, third party or commercial use without permission in writing and pre-negotiated price, terms and conditions from the photographer. Photos taken by Ingrid Matschke Photography may be used by the photographer at any time for advertising and promotional purposes. Photos are protected by copyright law and are not to be edited or altered in any way by anybody other than the photographer or an editor approved by the photographer. The photographer's signature must remain legible on all photos and where this is not possible, the photographer must be credited for the photos. Prints are not to be scanned or reproduced. It is illegal to take and/or use Ingrid Matschke Photography photos without consent or purchase, regardless of where they appear, including: mainstream media, elsewhere on the internet, Google Images, social media, via email, private message, printed publications or "screen shotting". Screen shotting and sharing of images is an illegal act, a breach of copyright and punishable by law.
Any alterations without our consent are a breach of copyright. If you purchase photos, please show respect for the photographer, major sponsor and organising club by adhering to the terms and conditions (compulsory upon purchase). Ambassador agreements made between kennels/exhibitors and their sponsors cannot override Australian Copyright law. If you must acknowledge your sponsor, add a separate photo of their logo in your post and/or or mention them in your blurb. Do NOT put competitor product logos on our photo
